6 Steps to Increase Your New Year's Resolution Success Rate

According to CNN, 75% of people that make a New Year's resolution will be successful during the first week. After that, the statistic drops to 40%-50% will be successful for 6 months. After that, the statistic plummets to 12% of people stick to their New Year's resolution for one year. Here are some helpful tips to increase your likelihood of succeeding and accomplish your New Year's resolution.
1.
Really think about your resolution. Choose something that has been a goal for a long period of time, that you are dedicated to, that you are passionate about accomplishing.
2.
When you have chosen your resolution assess whether it is something that can be measured and easily attained. These are 2 factors that can raise your likelihood of succeeding.
3.
Communicate your resolution to other people who see you almost every day. This way you create a support system for yourself.
4.
Use you support system. Once you've communicated what you want to do, ask those people to really challenge you and give you feedback to help you stick to your goals!
5.
After listening to feedback, go back in and edit your resolution if you have to. As long as you're still attaining a similar goal, you're technically not changing anything.
6.
Restate your resolution. Write your resolution on a sticky note and tape it to your mirror. Create a way that you are reminded everyday of your goal and how badly you want to accomplish it.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!
